Hi, I’m Jenelle, and I serve as the Kids Director here at One City Church. I lead an incredible team dedicated to creating an environment where your child can grow in their relationship with Christ.

I’m married to my husband, Philip, and we have one son, Philip IV. I was born in Toledo, OH, met my husband in Philadelphia, and moved to Virginia Beach two years ago due to the Navy.

As a new mom, I understand the nerves around dropping your child off—I want Kids City to be a place where your child feels safe, loved, and at home. All volunteers are vetted and background-checked.

Outside of church, I love being with my family, painting, exercising, reading, and cheering for Michigan (GO BLUE!).

A verse that grounds me is Isaiah 59:1 — God always hears and always responds.

My hope is for every child—from babies to special-needs students—to feel a sense of belonging and joy in our ministry.
